Serving at Good Samaritan

Worship Ministers

We invite everyone to participate in worship at Good Samaritan. A sign up sheet in the back of the church invites you to participate as Greeter/Prayers of the People Intercessor, Lector, Acolyte, and Chalice Minister. We holding training sessions and certification as we add new people. If you don’t want to be “front and center” our Altar Guild invites you help set up and clean up for services. Sunday School teachers also serve during the first half of the service on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month.

TaizÉ

Leader: Sean McCormick

The Taize service is an ecumenical service that is offered once a month on the first Wednesday, beginning at 7:00 pm and lasting about 45 minutes.  Simple repetitive music, periods of silence, and candlelight help to establish a "stress respite" for those who attend. We need volunteers to help set up and take down for the service.  If you play the guitar or are willing to lead singing, please contact Sean McCormick. All are invited to attend.

Vestry

Do you love the inner workings of church? Have financial skills? Do you dream of programs that don’t currently exist? Serving on the Vestry, the church’s governing board, might be your place. Our Vestry meets monthly on the 2nd Wednesday, from 4-5:30 PM by Zoom. Vestry members are elected at our Annual meeting. Check in with Rev. Laura if you think you might like to serve here.
