Pledging at Good Samaritan

As Fall transitions to a new season, so we at Good Samaritan are transitioning to a new era of hope and optimism.  Under the leadership of our new Vicar, the Rev. Laura Osborne, we are building Good Samaritan back into a church that serves both our church community and the Gunnison Valley community in new, challenging and exciting ways.

“Give, and it will be given” is one of the first principles of God’s economy, an economy in which we can participate as the Church of Good Samaritan and as individuals.  It is a call to action for each of us. In God’s economy, when we give, our giving builds our hope that we will also receive, a full measure, pressed down, and flowing over.

Between now and Good Samaritan’s Celebration Sunday on November 14th, consider how you might increasingly trust fully in God’s abundant love, and give with greater intent. Prayerfully discern the impact that ministries at Good Samaritan offer to each of us and to our community and how God is calling you to use the gifts that God gives you to do the work God calls you to do. Then be led by God to connect the exponential number of ways we are fed through Jesus Christ to give, so that we may receive, blessing upon blessing, pressed down, shaken and poured out through God’s abundant work in our lives! Please complete the online 2022 pledge card or the one you received in the mail by November 14th and come to Church that Sunday to have your offering blessed with the entire congregations!

Your commitment to our pledge campaign is an essential gift that embodies Good Samaritan’s transformational work in Gunnison and beyond.

Faithfully yours,

The Rev. Laura Osborne, Vicar,
Mark Ritter, Stewardship Chair, & Sue Ruffe, Bishop’s Warden
